The Kindest Cut - These Are Our Friends. Be kind. Fight the FUD...

However could they fool this jeenyuss?
How does the GOP succeed in getting so many people to vote against their own interests? They lie. They use fear and ignorance as a breeding ground for lies. And then they use the Fox fux and the Lower Wingnuttia right wing echo chamber, along with the always ready flying monkey squad, to spread the lies to low information voters, like this guy I ran into on FB and whose identity I've stripped to save unnecessary embarrassment. It may be cruel, but the kindest cut is to let friends, and/or friends of friends, know this just isn't okay in mixed company, meaning around those with triple digit IQ's.

Far too many of these wingnuts believe utter nonsense that isn't true while firmly rejecting the reality of what is true. Case in point: Many of these idiots thinks it's a fact that man walked with dinosaurs, but evolution is a myth. Far too many of are woefully undereducated, barely literate and simply not smart enough to know they simply are not smart enough.

I don't want to pick on this guy personally any more than I already have on FB, but his arguments are standard GOP wingnut tea bagging talking points that can and should be addressed. IOW, they're all lies.

Unfortunately, his tenuous grasp of English is also all too common among the denizens of Lower Wingnuttia. I'm posting his comment and my response here because I wouldn't be surprised if the person who's wall this was posted on deleted my comment or even the entire thread. If this guy is really a friend of theirs, I wouldn't blame them. I was just a tad harsh with the guy. It's a weakness of mine: I do not suffer fools well.

So, without further ado, here's my response...

Putting aside for the moment the dearth of facts and surfeit of nonsense in this rambling screed, had my third grade niece produced such error ridden subliterate boob.babble, I'd be embarrassed, as would she. If you wish to be taken seriously by the upright ambulators, first, some slight familiarity with reality might help, as would demonstrating at least basic proficiency in your ostensible native tongue.

Now, let's take a look at your, er, "points" one at a time...

"lets (sic) see. (sic) theirs (sic-sic) no war on women"

More than 2000 bills limiting women's rights have been introduced in state legislatures over the past 2 years, with more than 300 passed into law, all by the GOP. More than 100 bills limiting women's rights have been introduced by the GOP in Congress just in the past year.

"they [unions] make more then (sic) the workers"

FYI, the only "they" in unions ARE the workers. That, you see, is the entire POINT of a union. It's an organization made up entirely of WORKERS. Duh.

"don't want a secret Ballard (sic) when voting"

Well, gosh, who does want a secret Ballard? Kay would never approve.

"teacher thats (sic) a pervert"

There's a wonderful new invention called the apostrophe. Google it.

"as (sic) for voting rights hell (sic)"

And where, exactly, is voting rights hell? How does it differ from regular hell? Do they capitalize the first letter of sentences there?

"you have to show I D (sic)"

In point of fact, there is no INALIENABLE RIGHT, like those documented in the Constitution and BoR, including the right to VOTE, that requires one to have or present I D (sic), or, for that matter identification. That, you see, is what INALIENABLE means. Duh.

BTW, let me tell you, boy, do I ever enjoy the irony of seeing the very same paranoid wingnuts who've railed for decades against any form of national ID as a fascist abridgement of personal freedom now falling all over themselves to support disenfranchising millions of voters by requiring the very same kind of "fascist" identification from poor people, young people, minorities...you know, people who tend to vote Democratic. Unintended irony is always the tastiest.

"we (sic) can thank obama for the unemployment"

Yes, we can thank Obama for LOWERING the unemployment rate by nearly 2 points since the BushCo disaster and ADDING millions of jobs, as well as for ADDING jobs for 26 months in a row after BushCo LOST jobs for 13 months in a row. This all after the BushCo boob caused disaster that created the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression and lost us MILLIONS of jobs overall, more than 750,000 in Chimpy's McBlunder's last month in office alone. These are FACTS.

"just think of the jobs that could have been made (sic) with all the 100s (sic) of million (sic) he gave for solar, and (sic) how did that work out. (sic)"

In point if fact, the administration's renewable energy program has been a HUGE success and has, indeed, created more than 75,000 high paying jobs per year. Or did until the wingnuts killed it.

It's also a FACT that the loans to Solyandra, to which I assume you are trying to refer, were initiated by their powerful friends in the BUSH administration, not by the Obama administration.
BTW, while Solyandra failed, it was but a small part of the overall renewable energy loan portfolio, which has greatly outperformed the market as a whole. In other words, the fact is that the renewable energy program worked out brilliantly. Here in the real world. YMMV in Lower Wingnuttia.

These are all well documented, irrefutable FACTS. You can look them up. Oh, wait, sorry. Maybe you can find someone literate at the 6th grade level to look these facts up for you and explain them all to you using only very short words you might have some slight chance of actually comprehending.

Romney Files For An Extension - To Hide The Fact He Made Far More, Paid Far less in Taxes Than Obama

Mitt on Fox announcing he won't be releasing his tax returns, after all...

As you're doing your taxes this weekend, ask yourself why Mitt Romney filed for an extension. All of his income is from investments. Easy to account. Especially for his army of highly paid accountants. Could it be that Willard made 10 times as much as Obama but paid a much LOWER tax rate? How embarrassing...

Ron Paul Is A Racist, Misogynist Nutball - Here's The Proof

Ron Paul: "It's the media's fault I'm a racist, misogynist John Bircher paranoid conspiracy theory spouting nutball."

This is again relevant, though Ron Paul isn't, after the news that a dedicated Paultard tea bagging racist POS posted an assassination threat against the President of the United States and his children. Trailer trash loonytoonian racist POS Jules Manson posted:

"Assassinate The F***ing N****r And His Monkey Children"

Nice, eh? Well, the eternally pubescent naive little boys who comprise 99% of the Paultards are already whining about bad apples and other nonsense. Sorry, little boys, but facts are facts, and the fact is Ron Paul is a racist, misogynist nutball POS, and I can prove it with his own words.

Here are a sample of but some of Ron Paul's racist rants, complete with independently verifiable citations. Say what you will about Paul, one thing you can't say is that he isn't a racist, misogynist POS.

Anyone who's read this blog or my Facebook posts for any length of time knows how I feel about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is a racist, misogynist John Bircher crazy conspiracy spouting nutball. It bothers me no end that many self styled "progressives" support this whackjob racist lunatic 'cause, like, d00d, he wants to legalize dope and end war! No one who considers themselves in the least progressive has any business supporting this nutball POS.

When it comes to racist, white supremacist nut baggery, Ron Paul didn't lick it off of the wall. His dad was an avowed white supremacist and racist and was the leader of the race riots and pogroms that drove African-Americans out of many Texas communities in what is one of the darkest chapters in all of Texas history, a history rife with dark chapters of violent racism.

Since the '70's, long before he was elected to Congress, Ron Paul has been active on the political scene. He's published and edited a series of newsletters, beginning with crudely mimeographed John Birch style single sheets passed by hand from nutball to nutball right through slick, glossy mulit-page propaganda pieces marketed to white supremacists, anti-Semites and conspiracy theorists through a sophisticated bulk mail and nutball paranoid lunatic radio campaign, currently led by nutball extraordinaire Alex Jones. All of these Paul publications share a few defining characteristics. They are all chock full of racist, anti-Semite, misogynist paranoid loon nut baggery and they are all published under Ron Paul's name by companies owned by Ron Paul and they all list Ron Paul as editor and/or publisher.

Paul has gone to great lengths to try to cover up his most outrageous nutball proclamations. For example, though Paul has continually published these loon rags since 1976, his online "archives" only go back to 1999. The previous 23 years of Grade AAA, USDA Prime nut baggery haven't been simply covered up, they have entirely disappeared, never to be admitted to again. In recent interviews Paul has claimed he didn't write the stories - though the only name that appears on any of these publications is Ron Paul's. He's also tried to sell the hilariously asinine lie that he had no idea what "others" were publishing under his name, despite for many years pocketing millions in profits from the publications he now claims to have known nothing about. But thanks to the work of dedicated investigative bloggers and reporters, almost the entire record of Paul's whackjob lunatic nut baggery is now available online. Here's some actual quotes from political newsletters published and edited by Ron "Nutball" Paul variously named Ron Paul’s Freedom Report, Ron Paul Political Report and The Ron Paul Survival Report...

Ron Paul On Race

1990 issue warned of “The Coming Race War,” and an article the following year about disturbances in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, D.C., was entitled “Animals Take Over the D.C. Zoo.”

Paul alleged that Martin Luther King Jr., “the world-class philanderer who beat up his paramours,” had also “seduced underage girls and boys.” The man who would later proclaim King a “hero” attacked Ronald Reagan for signing legislation creating the federal holiday in his name, complaining, “We can thank him for our annual Hate Whitey Day.”

No conspiracy theory was too outlandish for Paul’s endorsement. One newsletter reported on the heretofore unknown phenomenon of “Needlin’,” in which “gangs of black girls between the ages of 12 and 14” roamed the streets of New York and injected white women with possibly HIV-infected syringes. Another newsletter warned that “the AIDS patient” should not be allowed to eat in restaurants because “AIDS can be transmitted by saliva,” a strange claim for a physician to make.

Paul gave credence to the theory, later shown to have been the product of a Soviet disinformation effort, that AIDS had been created in a U.S. government laboratory at Fort Detrick, Maryland. Three months before far-right extremists killed 168 Americans in Oklahoma City, Paul’s newsletter praised the “1,500 local militias now training to defend liberty” as “one of the most encouraging developments in America.” And he offered specific advice to antigovernment militia members, such as, “Keep the group size down,” “Keep quiet and you’re harder to find,” “Leave no clues,” “Avoid the phone as much as possible,” and “Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.”

In a March 2009 interview, Paul entertained Jones’s claim that NORTHCOM, the U.S. military’s combatant command for North America, is “taking over” the country. “The average member of Congress probably isn’t a participant in the grand conspiracy,” Paul reassured the fevered host, essentially acknowledging that such a conspiracy exists. “We need to take out the CIA.” On Paul’s latest appearance on the Jones show, just last week, he called allegations that Iran had attempted to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to the United States a “propaganda stunt” of the Obama administration. In a January 2010 speech, Paul announced, “There’s been a coup, have you heard? It’s the CIA coup” against the American government. “They’re in businesses, in drug businesses,” the congressman added.

Ron Paul said of crime in Washington, D.C., “I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.”

He also told the newspaper he did not know that his newsletter — with 7,000 to 8,000 subscribers — was listed by a neo-Nazi group called Heritage Front, apparently as recommended reading, under the Internet heading “Racialists and Freedom Fighters.”

In a column on the LA riots... “Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks.”

Commenting on the MLK Day holiday, the Ron Paul Report called it... “Hate Whitey Day.”

"...opinion polls consistently show only about 5% of blacks have sensible political opinions”

“if you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be”

Black representative Barbara Jordan is “the archetypical half-educated victimologist” whose “race and sex protect her from criticism.”

In an article entitled “The Coming Race War,” The Ron Paul Political Report refers to the “pro-communist philanderer Martin Luther King” and refers to his “non-violent approach” as “(i.e., state violence).” The newsletter advises that, “if there is any issue the Republicans have in their favor for the next presidential election, it is the question of race. It was all over for Michael Dukakis when Jesse Jackson gave his awful prime-time speech at the last Democratic convention, and the cameras focused on masses of teary-eyed, left-wing blacks.”

The July 1992 Ron Paul Political Report declares, “Jury verdicts, basketball games, and even music are enough to set off black rage, it seems,” and defends David Duke. The author of the newsletter--presumably Paul--writes, “My youngest son is starting his fourth year in medical school. He tells me there would be no way to persuade his fellow students of the case for economic liberty.”

Ron Paul On Homosexuality

The December 1989 Ron Paul Political Report contains entries on a “new form of racial terrorism,” cites former Congressman Bill Dannemeyer’s claim that “the average homosexual has 1,000 or more partners in a lifetime,” and quotes Lew Rockwell, president of the Ludwig von Mises Institute, in the third person.

In January 1990, the Ron Paul Political Report cites “a well-known libertarian editor” who “told me: ‘The ACT-UP slogan on stickers plastered all over Manhattan is ‘Silence=Death.’ But shouldn’t it be Sodomy = Death’?”
http://www.tnr.com/downloads/January1990.pdf

The July 1991 Ron Paul Political Report defends homophobic remarks made by Tom Clancy, and cites Clancy saying, “I live in a free country, and if people want to have their anuses used in that way, while I find it unsavory, I do not arrogate to myself the right to prevent them from doing so.”
http://www.tnr.com/downloads/July1990.pdf

The September 1994 issue of the Ron Paul Survival Report states that “those who don’t commit sodomy, who don’t get blood a transfusion, and who don’t swap needles, are virtually assured of not getting AIDS unless they are deliberately infected by a malicious gay.”

The January 1988 Ron Paul Political Report approvingly cites Dr. William C. Douglass, who “believes that AIDS is a deliberately engineered hybrid” developed at a World Health Organization experiment conducted at Ft. Detrick. Douglass has long been a fringe medical guru, and today claims that “smoking can help you live longer!!!”

In the April 1993 Ron Paul Survival Report, the author--writing in the first person--states, “Whether [the 1993 World Trade Center bombing] was a setup by the Israeli Mossad, as a Jewish friend of mine suspects, or was truly a retaliation by the Islamic fundamentalists, matters little.” The newsletters also warns readers to “do your very best to keep your family away from inner cities. If you can’t, have a haven remote from the metropolitan areas.”
http://www.tnr.com/downloads/April1993.pdf

The May 1995 issue of the Ron Paul Survival Report warns of “The Trilateralist Alan Greenspan” and its author writes, “Now that my five children are grown and educated, I’ve listened to the many supporters who’ve urged me to return to office. I can now give up my medical practice, and dedicate every fiber of my being to saving our country.” The newsletter also contains an advertisement for the Ron Paul congressional exploratory committee.

Ron Paul's Antisemitism

The November 1992 Ron Paul Survival Report defends chess champion and Holocaust-denier Bobby Fischer, saying that “the brilliant Fischer, who has all the makings of an American hero, is very politically incorrect on Jewish questions, for which he will never be forgiven, even though he is a Jew. Thus we are not supposed to herald him as the world’s greatest chess player.”

The End of the Wingnut Hate Shouters? 98 Major Advertisers Pull Ads From Right Wing Talk Radio

3/12/12 SECOND UPDATE:

BREAKING NEWS: All national advertising suspended from Douche Limpballs hate fest

This just in via ThinkProgress, Douche Limpballs syndicator Premier Networks has suspended all national advertising on Douche Limpballs' radio hate fest. This is an unprecedented move that possibly heralds the end of road for nationally syndicated wingnut hate shouters. Stay tuned for more details as they become available...
Radio-Info.com reports that Premiere Networks, which syndicates the Rush Limbaugh show, told its affiliate radio stations that they are suspending national advertising for two weeks.
3/12/12 UPDATE: 141 major advertisers have now dumped not just Rush, but the rest of the wingnut hate shouter flying monkey squad, as well. ThinkProgress has posted a PDF of the memo from Premiere Networks crapping on Rush and the rest of the wingnut hate shouters. The memo includes a list of all 98 of the major sponsors that have pulled ads not just from Rush, but from all of the wingnut hate shouters.

You can see the full memo here. In the meantime, here's the list of sponsors that have dumped wingnut hate shouters including Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity...
21st Century Insurance • Hotels.com • Rite Aid • Ace Hardware • Honda • Robitussin • Acura • IBM • Sam Adams • Advance Auto Parts • Icy Hot • Sam’s Club • Advil (All products) • Intuit/Small Business • Schiff – Digestive Advantage • Alacer/Emergen-C • Schiff – Mega Red • Allegra (all products) • Johnson & Johnson (All Brands) • Schiff – Move Free • Kohl’s • Schiff – Sustenex • Ally Bank • La Quinta • Scotts Miracle-Gro (all products) • American Express • Lifetime • Autozone • Little Caesars • Sony • Lowe’s • State Farm • British Petroleum • Luxottica • Staples • Bullfrog Sunblock • Macy’s • Sterling/Kay Jared Jewelers • Caltrate • MasterCard • Subway • Centrum • McDonalds • Takeda Uloric • Chapstick • Midas • The Home Depot • Clorox (Pinesol/Homecare) • Napa Auto Parts • ThermaCare • Cortizone • National Realtor • Toyota • DeVry • NBC-TV • Discover Card • Office Depot • Twinings of London • Domino’s Pizza • Office Max • Tyson/Wright Brand Bacon • Exxon/Exxon Mobil • One Main Financial • Unisom • Farmers Insurance • United Healthcare • Ford • Orkin • U.S. Army • Outback • U. Original Story: John Avlon has a story up on The Daily Beast about the news that a who's who of major corporate advertisers have pulled their ads not just from Douche Limpballs, but from all of wingnut hate radio. Ford, GM, Toyota, Geico, Allstate, Prudential, State Farm, McDonald's, Subway and others have removed their ads from wingnut hate shouter radio shows by Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity.

This is a big story, and one that fianlly gives hate shouters like self billed rodeo clown Glenn Beck something real to cry about. Here's more...
Premiere Networks, which distributes Limbaugh as well as a host of other right-wing talkers, sent an email out to its affiliates early Friday listing 98 large corporations that have requested their ads appear only on “programs free of content that you know are deemed to be offensive or controversial (for example, Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity).”
This is big. According to the radio-industry website Radio-Info.com, which first posted excerpts of the Premiere memo, among the 98 companies that have decided to no longer sponsor these programs are “carmakers (Ford, GM, Toyota), insurance companies (Allstate, Geico, Prudential, State Farm), and restaurants (McDonald’s, Subway).” Together, these talk-radio advertising staples represent millions of dollars in revenue.
...
this latest controversy comes at a particularly difficult time for right-wing talk radio. They are playing to a (sometimes literally) dying demographic. Rush & Co. rate best among old, white males. They have been steadily losing women and young listeners, who are alienated by the angry, negative, obsessive approach to political conservations. Add to that the fact that women ages 24–55 are the prize advertising demographic, and you have a perfect storm emerging after Limbaugh’s Sandra Fluke comments.
...
the irony is that the same market forces that right-wing talk-radio hosts champion are helping to seal their fate. Advertisers are abandoning the shows because they no longer want to be associated with the hyperpartisan—and occasionally hateful—rhetoric. They are finally drawing a line because consumers are starting to take a stand.
As the old, white, stupid knuckle dragging bigot demographic  - the only demo that listens to the hate shouters - dies off, it's only natural that major advertisers would seek to reach rather than piss off the far more desirable and far larger not old, not stupid, not bigoted demographic.

It's a delicious irony that the very same free market forces the hate shouters shout about are their downfall. Let's hope this really does herald the end of the wingnut hate shouters. Better yet, let's hope this is an example of the death throes of the morally, ethically and intellectually corrupt "movement" of half witted ignorant boobs, bigots, superstitious idiots and rabid loons that make up today's tea bagging GOP.

You Think Your Luck Is Bad? Think Again...

In battle you never want to be standing beside a guy who's unlucky. Case in point... On May 3, 1846 the Mexican Army began a siege and artillery bombardment of Fort Texas, overlooking Matamoros. After 2 days of continual bombardment an American soldier, a man named Sergeant Weigart, one of the "Cotton Bailers" of the famous 7th Infantry, was hit by a shell. A short time later, as he lay bleeding on the surgeon's table, Weigart was hit by another shell, killing him instantly. Shortly after he was buried, a 3rd shell "exhumed" his battered, dismembered body and sent it flying through the air. He was the only American killed in the siege that marked the beginning of one of the most shameful chapters in American history, the Mexican-American War.

Mitt's Bully Backer Uses His Billions To Intimidate, Silence Critics - Help Fight Back

Caveat: Everything in post is my Consitutionally protected personal opinion, and if you don't like it, I'm looking at you, Frank, you can sue me. I can always use a good laugh...

Required Reading: Glenn Greenwald has an important story up at Salon about Mitt Romney's billionaire bully Frank VanderSloot. VaderSloot is the CEO of a controversial multi-level marketing company, aka pyramid sales, Melaleuca, Inc., that peddles dietary supplements and cleaning products and is a major power player in right wing politics and the Mormon Church with a long history of anti-gay activism.

VaderSloot is also the finance co-chair of Mitt Romney's presidential campaign. In addition, his company, Melaleuca, has donated $1 million to a pro-Romney supposedly independent SuperPAC, Restore Our Future.

Greenwald details how this billionaire bully uses threats of petty, frivolous, but expensive to defend against lawsuits to silence his critics, including major magazines, journalists and even small bloggers that dare to report on VanderSloot's activities. Greenwald writes...
But it is VanderSloot’s chronic bullying threats to bring patently frivolous lawsuit against his political critics — magazines, journalists, and bloggers — that makes him particularly pernicious and worthy of more attention. In the last month alone, VanderSloot, using threats of expensive defamation actions, has successfully forced Forbes, Mother Jones and at least one local gay blogger in Idaho to remove articles that critically focused on his political and business practices
...
This tactic almost always succeeds in silencing its targets, because even journalists and their employers who have done nothing wrong are afraid of the potentially ruinous costs they will incur when sued by a litigious billionaire.
...
To allow this scheme to continue — whereby billionaires can use their bottomless wealth to intimidate ordinary citizens and media outlets out of writing about them — is to permit the wealthiest in America to thuggishly shield themselves from legitimate criticism and scrutiny.
It's a long piece, and one everyone should read. Greenwald details a number of cases, including the case of a brave blogger fighting back against a Bully's billions. Read the piece, then use your outrage to help journalists and bloggers fight back against this bullying wingnut POS. I, for one, hope this filthy stinking bleephole sues me, too, and I encourage everyone to blog about his despicable actions, spread the word on Facebook and tell everyone you know.

This nasty quackery pushing con-man prick wants to sue anyone and everyone who dares to tell the truth about him? I say let's give him 1 million targets and see how long he can keep it up, then use state laws against using lawsuits as intimidation to prosecute him criminally wherever and whenever possible. Maybe we can give his team of hired Brooks Brothers thugs something to keep them busy when they're not trying to censor VaderSloot's many critics. In the meantime, this bleephole's intimidation, threats and suppression of the free press, and Romney's connection to this POS, will finally get some much deserved attention.
